Bags packed, passports in hand – TRW Manchester were all smiles as they jetted off to Spain for the Costa Daurada Easter Cup 2025. Spirits were high, and the excitement for the week ahead was clear to see.
Monday 14th April 2025
Cef Viladecavalls 1-2 TRW Manchester
After touching down in Barcelona, the lads arrived at Futbol Salou and got straight into tournament mode.
A strong start from the Manchester lads, who edged out their Spanish opponents in a tight opening game. A confident and composed performance set the tone for the group stage. The captain summed it up post-match:
"We played really comfortably, put in a good shift and probably could’ve scored a couple more, but we’ll take this momentum into the next one".
TRW Manchester 1-1 Top Elite
Less than seven hours later, TRW were back at it – this time facing off against Top Elite - another local Spanish side. It ended all square in a cagey affair, but another valuable point on the board.
“We were very dominant first half… we’ve got to be more clinical – it’s a learning curve,” said star player, Shemon Samiullah Zoubek.
The boys took to the beach in the evening to get a well-deserved recovery session in before they looked to go again the next day.

TRW Manchester 0-2 Juventus Residence
TRW entered the final group fixture needing a result to top the table, but Italian side, Juventus, proved clinical and composed. Despite the defeat, the earlier four points were enough to book their place in the quarter-finals. A solid effort from a young side playing up at U19 level.

JP Preparation 2-0 TRW Manchester
The final hurdle saw TRW face French opposition in JP Preparation. Despite another spirited showing, they were undone by two clinical finishes and exited the tournament at the quarter-final stage.
Plenty of proud faces at full time – the boys had done themselves and their club proud.
