🇮🇩 Day 1 | Hello Bali

Our seven-day Bali trip is underway, with the group enjoying a smooth flight from Dubai and arriving safely in Bali before transferring by coach to their hotel in the Sanur area.

After settling into their rooms, students enjoyed a relaxed welcome dinner with a mix of familiar dishes and local cuisine. The evening also included a traditional Balinese dance performance, showcasing the expressive movements and storytelling that form an important part of local culture, followed by an impressive fire performance that was a real highlight.

The group then gathered for an evening briefing, covering hotel routines, local customs, and an overview of the exciting activities planned for the days ahead, including snorkeling and sightseeing.

After a long travel day, everyone settled in well and is rested, happy, and ready for the adventure to continue.

🇮🇩 Day 2 | Snorkeling & Balinese Traditions

Day two began with breakfast at the hotel before the group travelled north, moving away from the busier resort areas and into parts of Bali known for their quieter, more traditional way of life.

The first activity of the day was snorkeling at a sheltered reef, where students took part in a guided session learning about coral reefs and marine life. After building confidence in the water, they enjoyed a second snorkel focusing on identifying different fish species, with some lucky sightings including small stingrays and eels.

Following lunch, the group visited a traditional Balinese village, where students learned about local history, handcrafts, and daily life that has remained largely unchanged for generations.

The final activity of the day introduced students to traditional salt making. Using natural methods, they experienced the early stages of the process and each student was able to take home a small bag of locally produced salt as a souvenir.

After a full and rewarding day, the group returned to the hotel for dinner and a well-earned rest ahead of another busy day of activities tomorrow.

🇮🇩 Day 3 – Service & Cultural Immersion

Day three focused on service learning, giving students the opportunity to give back to the local community while deepening their understanding of Balinese culture. After breakfast, the group travelled north to the more rural region around Ubud, home to traditional villages and schools.

Spending the day at a local school, students supported classroom learning through English games, songs, and creative activities, as well as helping to decorate learning spaces and contribute donated equipment. The sessions were full of energy and laughter, with students and local children quickly bonding through play and teamwork.

After games and sports outdoors, students took part in a guided walk through the surrounding village, learning about Hindu traditions, local temples, and the importance of offerings and ceremonies in daily life. The tour continued through nearby rice paddies, where centuries-old farming practices are still used today.

Following lunch, students enjoyed hands-on cultural activities, including making traditional offerings and preparing a local snack, before finishing the day by creating a mural for the school — a lasting contribution that will remain for years to come.

The group returned to the hotel in the evening for dinner and rest, ready for a full day of water-based activities tomorrow.

🇮🇩 Day 4 – Water Activities & Environmental Action

Day four was a full day of water-based activities, with students taking part in a series of hands-on experiences focused on marine conservation and sustainability. Located close to the hotel, the activity centre was an easy walk away, allowing the group to split into smaller teams for the day.

Students began by learning about coral reef restoration before heading out on traditional boats to take part in planting coral onto underwater structures. They snorkelled above the reef, watching as newly planted coral was secured in place, helping to restore damaged areas and create new habitats for marine life.

Later in the day, the focus shifted to mangrove conservation. Students paddleboarded through mangrove channels, collecting marine litter and planting new mangrove seedlings. They learned about the vital role mangroves play in protecting coastlines and supporting marine ecosystems.

The afternoon offered time to relax, with beach games and local playground activities enjoyed by everyone. The day finished with a relaxed evening meal and some light-hearted singing and dancing, before a short presentation helped students reflect on what they had learned and how they can make more sustainable choices at home.

Another busy and rewarding day came to an end, with students looking forward to the next stage of their adventure.

🇮🇩 Day Five – Sacred Waterfalls, Temples & Ubud Markets

Day Five took our students into the heart of Bali’s natural and cultural heritage. After an early start and a scenic drive to Ubud, they hiked to the sacred Ulu Petanu Waterfall, learning about the spiritual importance of water in Hindu culture before swimming in the river and exploring the surrounding forest.

The adventure continued with a challenging hike to a sacred cave adorned with ancient Sanskrit carvings and meditation chambers. After lunch overlooking Ubud’s terraced rice fields, the group visited the 1,000-year-old Gunung Kawi Temple complex, witnessing local cleansing rituals and active worship.

The day ended with time at Ubud’s traditional market for souvenir shopping, followed by a well-earned three-course dinner before heading to bed, tired but excited for what lay ahead.
