Kings' School Al Barsha | Ski Trip

Follow along with KSAB as they visit Borovets in Bulgaria!

Day 1 | KSAB Ready to Go!

After an early bus from school, the group are checked in and ready to fly to Bulgaria for their ski trip! Looking forward to an amazing week.

Day 1 | Arrived!

After the short ride up to Borovets from Sofia, the students got a chance to settle into their beautiful hotel accommodation. We got all of the ski boots and skis fitted, as well as lift passes sorted - so after a long day of travel it’s now time for bed! Big day of skiing tomorrow.

Day 2 | Ski Session Underway

KSAB are fully charged after a full nights sleep and a big breakfast - now they are ready to start their ski sessions! What a beautiful morning on the Borovets mountain resort!

Day 2 | Afternoon Session

After a lovely buffet lunch, we are back on the slopes and doing our afternoon lesson. We are trying to get as much footage and photos as possible - but when they are so fast this is hard to do!

Day 2 | First Ski Day Done!

Brilliant day on the slopes for our KSAB group! We are heading for some downtime and showers, so this is a good opportunity to speak to the students with the time difference (before dinner).

Day 3 | Ski Ready

After a great sleep and a hearty breakfast, our groups are sorted and off for another day of adventure and learning on the slopes. Looking like the weather will be kind to us again!

Day 3 | Lunch Break

After a great morning session, the groups are refueling and getting their energy up before an afternoon session!

Day 3 | Quiz Night

The famous TWEDEX quiz wrapped up day 3 - it was a Bulgarian & Borovets themed quiz, but also had some general knowledge thrown in as well!

A lovely evening of friendly competition - our winners are still looking for their prize!

Day 4 | Third day of ski!

We are up and at breakfast, ready to go for our third day of skiing. All the students are in good spirits and ready for some adventures on new parts of the mountain!

Day 4 | Morning Session Done!

We have refueled at lunch time after a beautiful morning on the slopes - some of the views at the top of the mountain have been breathtaking!

Day 4 | Skiing Done!

Another amazing day on the slopes of Borovets. KSAB were adventuring across different parts of the resort and getting the chance to test their skills on different slopes. One more day to go!

Day 4 | Sledding!

It was a little dark to get a good photo (and they were too fast!) but the students had an amazing night doing some sledding! Now they are off to bed and ready for their final day on the slopes!

Day 5 | Final Day Ski!

All the students are up and raring to go on our final day of skiing! It promises to be another amazing day - it is their last chance to impress the instructors before the awards presentation!

Day 5 | Lunch Break

As we break for lunch, it’s time for an appreciation post of our amazing teachers! Ms Jain, Ms Grace, Mr Baldwin, Mr Knight and Mr Stewart have been brilliant all week - here is them still smiling earlier on today!

Day 5 | Awards Afternoon

A lovely way to wrap up the skiing week! Our students got a chance to show their appreciation for the instructors and they in return got to give all students a medal to highlight their progress over the week. Thanks again instructors!

Day 6 | Home Time

We are up and moving! Our bus is heading back to Sofia airport now and we will be getting on our 12:30 flight back to Abu Dhabi via Doha. Keep an eye out for further updates in the community group. Thanks for following along this week!
