And They're Off!

Day 1 | Tues 11th June

It was an early start for the James Gillespie's dancers as they met at Edinburgh's Waverley Station before heading south on the train to London.

The girls have a busy three days ahead of them with two sessions at the world-renowned Pineapple Studios, Mamma Mia in the West End and plenty of sightseeing and shopping in store.

Pineapple Dance Studios

After a light bit of shopping, the girls were straight into commercial workshop at Pineapple Dance Studios on day 1.

Our fantastic instructor Sophie was particularly impressed with the ‘attitude’ shown in the Step Up themed dance off!

Day 2 | Wed 11th June

A successful shopping trip for the girls around Leicester Square.

Mamma Mia Workshop

A Mamma Mia themed workshop during James Gillespie’s second visit to Pineapple Dance Studios ahead of seeing the real thing later this evening!

Live west end show

The dancers from James Gillespie’s finished their second day with a bang by seeing Mamma Mia live at London’s West End.

The girls were dancing (and singing) along to the final number after working on this during their workshop earlier in the afternoon!

The sights

Day 3 | Thurs 13th June

A morning of taking in the London sights was a great way to wrap up an action packed 3 days for the James Gillespie’s dancers.

It’s been a pleasure to host a fantastic group of students and staff in London this week - see you next time!
