GWA landed in Bologna and headed straight to Grand Tour Italia for their pasta making session. Lets hope they are paying attention - this will be their lunch today :)
After this, we will be heading to the hotel to check in before pizza night - we are very much looking forward to this first day of food and culture!
GWA are up bright and early for our first stop of the day at the Lamborghini Museum. Enjoying all of the cars from the 1960s until now and some free time in the Lamborghini store.
Students headed to a local authentic Bolognese restaurant for lunch. Enjoying a handmade Bolognese Lasagne and Tiramisu.
GWA’s second stop of the day was at the Ferrari Factory and Museum. They had a guided tour of the Factory and race track followed by a visit to the museum and gift shop. Tour guide Bruno had lots of interesting facts to share about the history of Ferrari.
Next they are heading into Bologna City to explore and have dinner!
students headed into the centre of Bologna to enjoy some free time in the city. They hit up the local shops and enjoyed local live music performed in the street before heading for some well earned Pizza.
They have now returned to the hotel for a good nights rest before setting off for Rome tomorrow!
GWA started their morning with a guided tour of Imola Autodrome. Walking underneath the track and around to see the first corner and the commemorative site for driver Aryton Senna.
They are now enjoying some free time experiencing the simulators and gift shop before we depart for Rome!
GWA have arrived in Rome!
we have arrived in Rome and headed straight for dinner- enjoying authentic Bruschetta to start!
Students are excited to begin exploring Rome with a stop at Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore before heading to the hotel.
GWA have begun their first morning in Rome with a trip back in time to visit Ancient Rome. Our local guides are showing us round The Forum and the Colosseum taking students through the history and politics of Ancient Rome.
GWA started their final full day in Rome with a visit to The Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. A guided tour with all of the history and made it to the top of the Dome for a fantastic view across the city.
This afternoon they will enjoy a visit to the famous Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain as well as the Da Vinci Museum- stay tuned!
GWA headed for a scenic walk to dinner at a traditional Roman restaurant accompanied by live music.
Enjoying the famous classics like Bella Ciao, That’s Amore and Que Sera Sera. Dinner truly came with a show, and a sing along!
