Day 1 | DESC Have Landed!

The DESC Rugby squad have touched down in Sri Lanka and have been welcomed with some traditional Sri Lankan hospitality! These student athletes are braced and ready for an action packed few days!

Day 2 | Suns Out, Guns Out

After a solid nights sleep, the DESC rugby squad are up and raring to go on day 2, opening up with a technical rugby training session followed by some ice bath recovery! This is before our first challenge matches of the tour after lunch!

Day 2 | Game Time!

We are under way with the opening match of the tour - DESC competing against local opposition at the Royal Complex facility. Some excellent rugby on show already!

Day 3 | Game Day!

After some active recovery at the hotel this morning and some bowling matches to get the competitive juices flowing, DESC headed over to Wesley College for their afternoon challenge games. Both of the U13 and U14 squads put in excellent performances but came up short against strong opposition - however it will act as a learning curve for the rest of the tour!

Day 4 | Rugby Rivals

We were treated to a morning game today against local opposition. Another brilliant game of competitive tackles, creative passing and warm sportsmanship. The Instagram highlights reel is getting the finishing touches as we speak!

Day 5 | Surfs Up!

After our final match yesterday, we transferred to the beautiful Hikka Tranz just in time for the amazing buffet dinner!

This morning the troops are awake and ready for their next activity - surfing! We hand pick one of the best spots in Weligama to allow beginners to get familiar quickly with the board - plenty of the squads got up on their feet today!

We are winding down the trip, making our way back towards the airport after an afternoon at the resort. Everything is on schedule for landing in Dubai at 00:55, we look forward to seeing you there!
