We started our first day in Bulgaria with breakfast to get everyone ready for the day ahead. After that, we went up the mountain where we sorted out our ski groups and met our ski instructors. Everyone was excited to get started and learn more about skiing.
In the morning, we spent two hours skiing, practising basic skills and getting used to the equipment and the snow. After a busy morning on the slopes, we stopped for lunch to rest and refuel.
Later in the afternoon, we had another ski session where pupils continued to practise and improve their skills. It was great to see confidence growing as the day went on.
Before dinner, we had a short walk around the local shops and explored the area. In the evening, we had dinner together and finished the day with fun table tennis and pool competitions.
Everyone enjoyed the first day and is looking forward to more skiing tomorrow!
Day two started with breakfast before heading back up the mountain. We met our ski instructors and got straight into our groups, ready for another day of skiing.
In the morning, we spent two hours skiing, continuing to practise and build on the skills we learned on the first day. Everyone showed great effort and improvement, with pupils becoming more confident on the slopes.
After lunch, we returned for our afternoon ski session, where pupils had more time to practise turning, stopping, and controlling their speed.
Before dinner, we had a walk around the local area and enjoyed some free time. In the evening, instead of games, we went sledging, which was lots of fun and a great way to end the day. Everyone had a fantastic time and plenty of laughs.
Day three began with breakfast before heading back up the mountain to meet our ski instructors and get into our groups. Everyone was feeling more confident and ready for another full day on the slopes.
In the morning, we spent two hours skiing, continuing to develop our skills and build confidence. The advanced group stayed out on the other mountain and did not return for lunch, allowing them more time to ski and challenge themselves on different runs.
The remaining groups returned for lunch before heading back out for their afternoon ski session, where pupils continued to practise and improve.
Later in the day, we visited the souvenir shops, giving pupils the chance to buy gifts and memories from the trip. In the evening, everyone enjoyed time at the arcade, which was a fun and relaxing way to finish the day together.
Our final day in Bulgaria started with breakfast before heading up the mountain for our last day of skiing. Pupils were excited to make the most of their final sessions and show how much they had improved throughout the week.
During the ski sessions, it was great to see the confidence, resilience, and progress everyone had made since day one. Many pupils challenged themselves and finished the trip feeling proud of what they had achieved.
After skiing, we returned to the hotel where we held our ski awards, celebrating effort, improvement, and positive attitudes shown during the trip. Everyone enjoyed recognising the hard work and achievements of their peers.
In the evening, we finished the trip with a quiz night, which was lots of fun and a great way to spend our final evening together. Pupils then packed their bags ready for the journey home.
