Day 1 | Sun 12th Jan
After an early start, Amity students have arrived in Madrid for their week long tour.
First stop was to explore Madrid city center and some of the most tourists places in the city. The group spent an amazing morning visiting places like the Royal Palace of Madrid, walked the beautiful Plaza Mayor, stopped at the popular Puerta del Sol and also experienced the most traditional breakfast in Spain, they had "chocolate con churros" and they absolutely loved.
After touring the city the group headed to the hotel were they had lunch and charged batteries for what it was coming in the afternoon.
In the afternoon the students had the opportunity to experience a live basketball match between two historial teams in the country, Real Madrid VS Laguna de Tenerife at the iconic WiZink Center Arena.
It was an incredible basketball spectacle were Real Madrid ended up taking the win (96-86) and takes the third position in the league table.
After the match the group headed back to the hotel to have some dinner and rest after a long day. Tomorrow more!

Day 2 | Mon 13th Jan
¡Buenos dĂas Madrid!
After a good night's sleep Amity School’s students first stop of the day was to visit the impressive Atletico de Madrid’s 70,000 seater stadium. After exploring the museum and stadium, students had the opportunity to do some shopping at the Atletico’s megastore before heading to their Next destinationÂ
The Jump Yard where the students took on wall climbing, Trampolining, Parkour, Gladiator style combat against the teachers and cage football, another adrenaline packed day returning to the hotel for a well deserved dinner and some downtime!!
Day 3 / Tue 14th Jan
What an amazing morning in the capital, with the sun shining and those blue skies the group headed in to central Madrid to test their culinary skills at a local cooking school!!
From making empanadillas and spanish omelettes to preparing a traditional paella. The students really got involved as they learnt some of the secrets of how to make the best Spanish dishes to be able to take their knowledge back home to make these delicious meals for their families!!
Once the aspiring chefs prepared and made their meals there were able to enjoy the fruits of their labor by sitting down together to enjoy their creations served with handmade orange juice, great effort Amity!!
Well, after a morning in the kitchen cooking up some amazing spanish cuisine there was no better way to spend the afternoon but to explore Madrid's historic 17th Century Park built for the Kings, EL Retiro!
A leisurely stroll taking in the local entertainers and sampling more chocolat con Churros, Again!!
Day 4 / Weds 15th Jan
Another action packed day started with a visit to the world renown 'Legends' Museum in central Madrid. Taking a deep dive in to the history of football through interactive displays and exhibitions, the students loved the opportunity to be up close with some of the most iconic shirts in football history, the experience was finished in the interactive games room where the students took on each other on EA25, table football and trivia games!
The students spent the afternoon having some retail therapy on the famous Gran Via in Madrid, the students also visited Calle de Fuencarral which is Madrid's Urban & Hip Fashion district!
Day 5 / Thurs 16th Jan
This morning was so eagerly awaited for by some passionate Real Fans within the group, this activity certainly blew them away visiting the Iconic football stadium, the home of Real Madrid!!
What a way to finish off the last activity on the last afternoon with a truly Spanish experience, the group made their way to the Torre Arias District of Madrid to be entertained by some of the most talented flamenco dancers!
After the exhilarating show it was the turn of the students who got involved in their own flamenco master class lead by the leading flamenco director, we must say we were surprised by the engagement and willingness to get involved, there was certainly some naturals and some that gave us some laughs and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime!!
