Day 1 | Sat 16th March
The DESC students headed straight into central London following their flight from Dubai into Heathrow.
What better way to acclimatise with your new surroundings in England's capital than by taking to the River Thames which runs through the heart of the city for a sightseeing cruise.
After experiencing the sights and sounds of central London at sea level on the River Thames, it was time to get a bird's eye view from the London Eye.
With 32 pods on the London Eye representing the 32 London boroughs, the DESC students and staff got to see the London skyline from 135 metres into the sky!
After some time on the Thames and London Eye, DESC students had the opportunity to take a walk around central London stopping off at Westminster and of course Big Ben, before heading into Covent Garden.
Day 2 | Sunday 17th March
On Day 2 it was time to head back into central London to experience the West End production of Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre after getting to grips with the local weather conditions in a wet and muddy training session earlier in the day!
On Monday the competitive action starts as the DESC U16 squad head to Rosslyn Park to take part in their tournament, while the U14s take centre stage on Tuesday.
Day 3 | Monday 18th March
The Dubai English Speaking College U16s got their Rosslyn Park 7s experience underway this morning as they took on England's Blundell's School.
Match 1: DESC 29 - 5 Blundell's School (England)
Next up for the DESC U16 girls was a hard fought match against Tsgol Gyfun Glantaf of Wales before taking on Malmesbury School after lunch. A 31-5 win over Malmesbury secured DESC's place in the cup quarter finals!

Match 3: DESC 31 - 5 Malmesbury School (England)
Following some excellent performances in the group stages DESC's U16s were drawn against eventual cup winners Ivybridge Community College in the quarter-finals.
Despite some great play in spells during the match, it proved to be one step too far for the girls as they fell to a 12-31 defeat.
In an action-packed day with lots of positives to take, the DESC girls can be immensely proud of their final eight finish at one of the biggest rugby sevens festivals on earth - well done girls!

Day 4 | Tuesday 19th March
The DESC U14 girls got their Rosslyn Park experience underway this morning as the group stages kicked off.
Following the U16s impressive top eight finish in the event yesterday, the U14s were determined to get off to a strong start in an age group filled with impressive school teams.
Things couldn't have gone any more to plan during the pool phase as DESC came away with two wins from their first two games ahead of their final group match on the show pitch and tournament live stream.
Brilliant work, ladies!

DESC's U14s are ready to go ahead of their final group match on the tournament's show pitch.
The U16 girls are here to show their support after their matches yesterday!
In a fantastic team performances in front of the live stream cameras, DESC's U14 girls have made it three wins from three in the group stages at Rosslyn Park!
Against a strong Reigate Grammar School side the girls showed grit, determination and some real quality to secure their third victory of the day.

Next up it's the quarter finals where the girls will face Hill House School. Good luck girls!
DESC's U14s have secured a place in the final four at Rosslyn Park thanks to an incredible finish against reining champions Hill House School.
With seconds remaining on the clock DESC turned the ball over and found a 70 yard run with the clock in the red to come out of a hard fought game with the victory.
Time to rest up ahead of the semi finals this afternoon!

Following DESC U14's dramatic quarter final victory over Hill House School, it was an all Dubai affair as JESS awaited in the semi finals.
Two schools who know each other well from DASSA fixtures, JESS proved just too strong for the DESC girls in the end who had committed so much to their last gasp quarter final win.
But a final four finish to back up the U16s last eight performance yesterday - it's been an incredible couple of days for the girls in London!

Day 5 | Wednesday 20th March
Following the excitement of two days at Rosslyn Park, the DESC players spent this morning at Saracens in north London.
They were put through their paces in a training session with Saracens coaches on the pitch at the StoneX Stadium - what an experience!
Following a rewarding session on the pitch at the home of Saracens, the DESC girls were given a behind the scenes tour, following in the footsteps of the Saracens first team players before refuelling with some lunch.
Next up... the home of England Rugby at Twickenham!
Day 5 | Monday 20th March
Following their time with Saracens this morning, the DESC students and staff headed to west London to visit the home of England Rugby, Twickenham Stadium.
From the stands, to the dugouts and onto pitch side, the girls were given the VIP treatment at the national stadium fresh from Six Nations action in recent weeks.
Their trip to Twickenham marked the final activity of their whirlwind tour, tomorrow it's time to head for the airport and home!
